The relative modes of G and C has finally come to my guitarpages.Iīve been thinking
of putting them out here for awhile but there was never time enough to write them because
of all the guitar playing and practicing.Anyway letīs start now before you get bored.
The modes i will begin with is in the key of G Major. All these modes in G Major use
the same notes but have different roots.since these modes use the same notes they are
said to be the relative modes for G.The G major scale use the same notes as the E Minor
scale so you can use the modes of G Major to solo in E Minor.Ionian,Lydian and Mixolydian
share a major 3rd and can therefore be called Major types. The Aeolian,Dorian, phrygian and
locrian share a Minor 3rd and can therefore be called Minor types.

position, anywhere on the guitar.Create variations.throw in some cromatics change
keys,throw in bends,hammer onīs,tapping,sweep picking or whatever.Try mixing in
some other scales like the harmonic minor scale or the phrygian dominant
and see what happens. Thatīs all for now.Good luck. Home.
